Who We Are
Stop Burning CA is a true grassroots movement dedicated to ending the dangerous cycle of industrial forest mismanagement in California.
We expose how state and federal “emergency” funds are misused to finance industrial monoculture tree farms, biomass extraction, and large-scale herbicide spraying — operations that destroy natural forest resilience, worsen wildfire risks, contaminate water, and harm rural communities across the state.
We fight for:
- Real forest restoration, not chemically-managed plantations
- Independent soil and water testing ignored by agencies and contractors
- Legislative reform to stop the abuse of public disaster recovery funds
- Public transparency on timber industry influence in wildfire recovery programs
- Protection of rural communities from escalating wildfire threats and insurance abandonment
We believe there is a clear and undeniable link between monoculture tree farming and the massive, destructive wildfires raging across California.
Industrial plantations replace diverse, resilient ecosystems with fire-prone landscapes, dramatically increasing the scale and intensity of fires.
This growing danger is a major reason why insurance companies are raising premiums or dropping rural Californians altogether, leaving families without protection.
These fires are not accidents of nature. They are the predictable result of decades of industrial forestry practices that prioritize short-term profit over the long-term health of forests, water, communities, and the environment.
But it does not have to stay this way.
Your support helps fund independent soil and water testing, environmental legal action, public awareness campaigns, and lobbying efforts to drive real, lasting change.
We are building a movement to protect California’s forests, defend clean water, restore real ecological resilience, and ensure rural communities are no longer sacrificed for industrial profits.
Join us. Stop the burning. Restore California’s true forests.
